Motion2Motion School of Dance was founded in 2014. M2M offers classes in Hip Hop, Jazz, Contemporary and Cheerleading for boys and girls aged three and up in locations around West and South Dublin. The school provides dance classes that are fun, energetic and creative. Our aim is for each student to explore and release their full creative potential and open their imaginations to a fun way of learning dance. 

We intend to inspire confidence and individuality as well as the ability to work as part of a team…and most importantly making sure they have lots of Fun! All students will have the opportunity to showcase their talents and progress in our end of year show. This will give each student the chance to shine and perform for their family and friends.

Sadbh Lawlor

Founder, Director, Teacher &. Cheer Coach

Sadbh has been dancing since the age of four in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary and Street. She trained in the College of Dance, Dublin where she graduated with a Diploma in Professional Dance. She then furthered her education in the UK at The University of Winchester, where she graduated with a BA Honours in Choreography and Dance combined with Educational Studies. During her studies in Winchester, Sadbh was a member of D@win Dance Company which toured in Hampshire. In 2011, she was invited to choreograph the University’s production of Spring Awakening. While in the UK she worked with Integr8 Dance Ltd as a choreographer on many of their shows and helped raise money for numerous charities through the company. She also choreographed and trained her all-boy crew KW Maniacs, who took part in competitions across the UK. Along with Dance, Sadbh has a great passion for cheerleading. She trained and competed in the UK with the Winchester Spirits and has been a qualified Cheerleading Coach for the past 7 years. Sadbh is delighted to have a school filled with such lovely, amazing and talented students and a fantastic team to shape the next generation of creative children.

Ruth started dancing when she was eight years old with Jill O’Neill School of Dance. She began learning Hip Hop and Jazz and later also dipped into other styles such as Contemporary and Tap. Ruth has performed in many shows in the Helix Theatre. Through this dance school Ruth became a student of Sadbh’s and after their time as teacher/student ended, that was just the beginning of Ruth’s journey with Motion2Motion School of Dance. Ruth assists in ballet and teaches hip hop at Motion2Motion. Ruth also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Philosophy and, since graduating from Maynooth University, has made teaching dance her full time occupation.


Ruth loves being able to share with her students her stage experiences and helping them overcome any nerves they may have leading up to their annual show. Most importantly though, she loves to dance and being able to sharing her passion with students at Motion2Motion.

Karl has trained in Hip-Hop dance for as long as he can remember and has trained all around the world in places like Los Angeles, London, Poland and Germany. He has also been apart of competitive Hip Hop crews for most of his journey and likes to pull inspiration from all different styles of Hip Hop. Karl strives to create an environment that is both educational and a lot of fun at the same time, because if you’re not having fun what’s the point!

Junior & Senior Cheer Coach

Lydia has a degree in social science from UCD. Lydia was heavily involved in both gymnastics and dance when growing up. She represented South Dublin on numerous occasions in gymnastics and competed in America on behalf of Muckross Park Gymnastics Club. Lydia successfully auditioned for the Dublin Youth Dance Company (DYDC) where she trained in contemporary dance. Lydia has received distinctions in bronze, silver and gold Jazz exams. Having recently taken advanced 2 modern and grade 8 classical she has now completed all of the vocational modern and classical ballet exams. Lydia is delighted to be teaching such a lovely group of Little Ballerinas.

Alexandra Remus

Junior & Senior Cheer Coach

Alex Remus coaches our junior cheer squad and is a tumbling specialist. She is originally from Chicago but has found her home in Dublin. Throughout her childhood in the States Alex participated in both cheerleading and gymnastics recreationally and competitively. She cheered for her local American football team, her school and on a competitive squad until she moved away for college. Alex has completed her PhD in biomechanics. So she has a great understanding of what the human body is capable of doing and uses this knowledge when teaching the girls new skills. She holds coaching qualifications from Gymnastics Ireland and also is a head coach with Rugby tots. She loves teaching kids new skills and the confidence to bring out their full potential.

Mollie O'Hare

Mollie has recently graduated from UCD with a Bachelor of Social Science degree. She has been dancing since the age of 7 where she trained in jazz, tap, musical theatre and hip hop. She later began to focus on hip hop and commercial and performed in many showcases and events around the country such as ‘Electric Picnic’ and ‘Perform Ireland’. Mollie has claimed first place in many international competitions such as Destination Dance and the British Street Dance Championships with various hip hop crews. She was also a member of the UCD Dance Society hip hop crew where she performed in many events as well as choreographing the crew’s sets for various competitions. She has taken classes from top choreographers around the world including places such as L.A., London, New York and Thailand. She loves teaching children and finds it really rewarding to see them reach their potential and progress at their own pace throughout the year.

Alexandra has been dancing from a very young age and began her professional dance training with Inchicore College where she obtained advance qualifications in ISTD modern theatre dance and intermediate qualifications in RAD Ballet. Along with these she also obtained a diploma in dance instruction (DDI). Alexandra recently completed her full time dance training with Morea Performing Arts College in the UK under the guidance of Kate Morea one of the creators of ISTD. Alexandra’s training also includes Jazz, lyrical, Ballet, Tap, Musical Theatre, Urban & African. Whilst training in the UK she was also lucky enough to take regular workshops with leading West End performers. Alex has a passion for teaching young people and especially likes to focus on technique in all aspects of dance.

Alessia started gymnastics at the age of 6 and began competing 3 years later. She took part in regional and national competitions in both Italy and Ireland. After 4 years at Muckross Park Gymnastics club she began to coach gymnastics to the younger children and now she holds coaching qualifications from Gymnastics Ireland. Four years ago Alessia joined the Motion2Motion senior cheerleading team M2M Tornados Team Eclipse and this year she started coaching the junior team. Alessia loves working with children and passing on her passion.

Yes. M2M t-shirts are compulsory for all Hip hop, Youth Dance, Contemporary and Cheerleading.

Little Ballerina’s M2M Cardigan is compulsory.

Hoodies are optional.

Uniforms can be bought via the shop section on our website and once in stock will be given to your child in class. If it is a gift we can deliver locally or can be collected at an arranged time.

No, parents are not permitted to attend classes as it can be distracting for the class.

Students should only bring water to class and their dance/cheer shoes.

Fees can be paid via our website here or if you prefer an online bank transfer we can send you our details.

·         If your child cannot attend a class for any reason whatsoever refunds or credit will not be given.

·         If your child decides during the term they would not like to continue refunds will not be given as your child’s place is secured for the full term.

 

 

Terms range from 8 – 13 weeks depending on the time of year.

Yes – We offer a 10% discount for siblings.

Yes we perform annually in the dlr Mill theatre in Dundrum.

Once the tickets are available for the show, we will send all the parents the link to the dlr Mill Theatre website. Tickets can only be bought directly from the Theatre. Tickets sell out fast and once they are gone they are gone! So be sure to book them as soon as you get the link.
